Two-Deep Leadership

“Two-Deep Leadership” – we hear about it all the time, but do we understand the why’s for demanding the need to follow it in all of our Scouting activities?  Not only do we need to have “Two-Deep leadership” for health and safety reasons, but it also applies to how we handle our financial matters.  Units need to have two or more signatures on their checking accounts (and not related individuals).  Coed Venture Crews must always have coed leadership with both male & female leaders being at least 21 years of age or older.  If you have a question or doubt about how this procedure affects your Scouting program, please contact your respective district leadership or the council office.

Webelos

WEBELOS an 18-month program that begins as soon as the Cub graduates from Bear (Feb./May time period) until about September/November of his Fifth Grade year; then “seamlessly” transitions to Boy Scouts. This is the Webelos program plan and benefits the youth, their family and the Scouting program planning sequence to best utilize the resources of the pack, troop and family. More Webelos program info to come in future articles.
